The Henderson Symphony Orchestra (HSO), under the guidance of Music Director Alexandra Arrieche, stands as a prominent figure in the Las Vegas, Nevada classical music scene, dedicated to promoting appreciation and education in classical music for 35 seasons. As Nevada’s sole community symphony orchestra, HSO is deeply committed to inclusivity, inviting musicians of various backgrounds to join and collaborate. The orchestra offers a diverse lineup of 11 annual concerts held across different venues, all free of charge, highlighting its mission to make classical music accessible to a broad audience.
HSO’s comprehensive programming includes the Music 4Kids Concerts, aimed at engaging young listeners, the Young Artists Competition that spotlights emerging local talent, and the HSO Conductor Camp which provides advanced training for upcoming conductors. These initiatives are part of HSO's effort to enrich the cultural fabric of Southern Nevada, supported by significant local sponsors such as the City of Henderson and Lake Las Vegas, and underscore the orchestra's role in enhancing community ties through classical music.
