Awareness Is Prevention (AIP) stands firm in the belief that a life free from bondage, fear, and oppression is the birthright of every individual. Our vision is deeply rooted in the commitment to expand our network of services, collaborating with other groups engaged in the fight against Human Trafficking. Through the identification of synergistic elements among various organizations, AIP endeavors to support events, lectures, and fundraising initiatives. By fostering partnerships with NGOs and law enforcement agencies, we adopt a multifaceted approach to tackle this pervasive issue. With established connections to all Honorary Consuls in Nevada, representing 26 countries, including our founder Lena Walther, who serves as the Honorary Consul of Sweden, AIP leverages these relationships to aid in the rescue of victims ensnared in trafficking, transcending borders to provide assistance where needed.
Our mission at Awareness is Prevention (AIP) is to arm communities with knowledge to combat all forms of Human Trafficking, from sex trafficking to employment exploitation. Through a range of initiatives, including events, concerts, and lectures, we target the most vulnerable demographic – the youth – along with their caregivers and guardians. AIP advocates for the establishment and sponsorship of safehouses, rehabilitation centers, and specialized clinics to provide comprehensive support to traumatized victims. Empowering both law enforcement personnel and civilians with training programs to recognize signs of trafficking is paramount in our efforts. At the core of our mission lies the unwavering dedication to identifying, rescuing, and safeguarding victims, recognizing that raising awareness is the crucial first step towards eradicating this abhorrent crime against humanity.
