Silver Sands Montessori

Silver Sands Montessori (SSMCS) is the only public Montessori school in Southern Nevada, providing a tuition-free, state-sponsored charter education for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Founded in 2009, SSMCS was established as a school of choice in Clark County, offering families an alternative learning environment that integrates Maria Montessori’s time-tested educational principles with Nevada’s academic performance standards. Our approach fosters independent, inquisitive, and well-rounded learners, ensuring that students meet and exceed academic expectations through hands-on, self-directed learning.

At Silver Sands Montessori, we believe that education extends beyond the classroom. We offer a variety of extracurricular opportunities, including clubs, athletics, field trips, and festivals, allowing students to develop socially, emotionally, and intellectually. Our students also participate in academic competitions such as the Southern Nevada Science Fair and the Nevada Geography Bee, further enhancing their learning experience.
