From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., DS>>>Connect24 will offer a comprehensive program tailored to medical professionals, educators, social workers, families, and individuals with Down syndrome, and aims to bridge the gap between the latest research and practical, everyday care.

Supported by the Thomas Nelson Abdella, MD, Foundation and UNLV, this full-day event promises a day of cutting-edge research presentations, expert insights, and meaningful connections to the Down syndrome community. From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., DS>>>Connect24 will offer a comprehensive program tailored to medical professionals, educators, social workers, families, and individuals with Down syndrome, and aims to bridge the gap between the latest research and practical, everyday care.
The conference also features sessions by Dr. Brian Skotko, Terri Couwenhoven, and the Improvaneer Method team, covering topics like celebrating life with Down syndrome, relationships and dating, and improv skills. Dr. Thessa Hilgenkamp, Assistant Professor and Researcher in UNLV's Department of Physical Therapy, is scheduled to unveil her latest findings on the impact of physical activity on individuals with Down syndrome, offering insights that promise to enhance quality of life and care strategies. Registration is $75 per person, with a discounted rate for individuals with Down syndrome at $50 per person. Early bird discounts available until August 31.
