Melissa Barry, founder of At Ease Law, is an experienced trial attorney dedicated to protecting her clients’ rights in both criminal and civil matters. Originally from northeastern Ohio, Melissa earned her Criminal Justice degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and her J.D. from the University of Akron.
While in law school, she gained hands-on experience representing clients charged with misdemeanors through a legal clinic and continued that work as a legal intern. She began her career as a prosecutor with the Las Vegas City Attorney’s Office in 2008, handling a wide range of cases—including DUI, domestic violence, and vehicular manslaughter—and conducting numerous bench trials and motion hearings.
Melissa later served as a Deputy County Attorney in Mohave County, Arizona, where she prosecuted misdemeanor, juvenile, and felony cases, supervised other attorneys, and maintained a perfect trial record. Then she took that experience to protect the rights of people accused of crime as a private criminal defense attorney.
Then opening her own office in private practice, Melissa brings her prosecutorial insight to criminal defense cases, and her heart, drive and compassion to family law matters. She is known for her strong courtroom presence, thorough preparation, and commitment to her clients’ rights.
