Join us for an evening of thoughtful discussion, great company, and delicious food as we dive into our August book selection.

Book of the Month: The Fox Wife by Yangsze Choo Set in Manchuria in 1908, this captivating novel blends mystery, folklore, and historical fiction. A courtesan is found frozen in a doorway, sparking rumors of fox spirits—mythical beings said to transform into beautiful humans. Detective Bao, gifted with an uncanny ability to uncover truth, is drawn into a web of secrets that spans from China to Japan. Meanwhile, Snow, a mysterious servant with a tragic past, seeks vengeance and redemption. Yangsze Choo’s novel explores themes of maternal love, ancient myths, and second chances in a world where spirits and mortals collide.
