Coleman Security is seeking highly qualified security professionals to join our team as Flex Officers. Candidates with military or law enforcement backgrounds are strongly preferred.

About the Role:
Flex Officers provide essential support by filling shift gaps and reinforcing security operations during peak periods. This role requires adaptability, vigilance, and a strong commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct routine patrols on foot, bike, or in a vehicle
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods as needed
- Assist guests and staff with security-related inquiries
- Monitor and deter suspicious or criminal activity
- Respond swiftly to incidents, including medical emergencies
- Coordinate with emergency services when required
- Operate independently, with a partner, or as part of a team
- Perform access control duties and enforce security protocols
- Monitor surveillance and security systems
- Maintain detailed reports and incident documentation

Qualifications:
General Requirements (Both Armed & Unarmed Positions):
- Minimum Age: 18+ for unarmed security, 21+ for armed security
- Education: High school diploma or GED required
- Licensing: Valid Nevada PILB (Private Investigator’s Licensing Board) work card for security officers (required for both armed and unarmed positions)
- Background Check: Must pass a thorough criminal background check
- Drug Testing: Must pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
- Physical Ability: Capable of standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Customer Service: Ability to interact professionally with clients, employees, and the public
- Conflict Resolution: Ability to de-escalate situations calmly and effectively
- Use of Force: Ability to use force in accordance with company policies and training
- Schedule Flexibility: Availability for shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:
- Military or law enforcement experience strongly preferred
- Prior experience in security, corrections, or emergency response
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Familiarity with Nevada laws on security operations, use of force, and citizen’s arrest
- Experience with access control systems, surveillance monitoring, physical patrols, and report writing

Additional Requirements for Armed Security Officers:
- Minimum Age: 21+
- Firearms Certification: Must hold a Nevada Armed Security PILB Card
- Weapon Permit: Nevada Concealed Carry Permit (CCW) (or willingness to obtain)
- Firearms Training: Must pass a state-approved firearms qualification course
- Knowledge of Nevada’s Use of Force laws and proper firearm handling
- Ability to respond effectively to high-risk situations
