The mission of the Biletnikoff Foundation is to commemorate Tracey Biletnikoffs life and her untimely death and to enable young people to realize their full potential through the support of community and education programs that effectively address the related problems of substance abuse, human trafficking, and domestic violence.
In 2000, the Foundation launched Traceys Place of Hope, a residential program for adolescent girls in crisis with mental health and substance abuse problems. The center helps turn tragedy into daily miracles by preparing young people to manage their recovery, their mental and emotional health issues, as well as teaching teens the necessary skills to live independently. Most of our teens come to Traceys Place of Hope with little or no vision for their future but flourish when given the opportunity.
Phase II of the renovation of Traceys Place of Hope involved building the Biletnikoff Center for Hope! Plans have been drawn up to create an on-site counseling and open-use facility. This will be a multi-use space for one-on-one and group counseling which is vital to the teens recovery from domestic violence, drug, and alcohol abuse, and human trafficking. This center will give specialized counselors the space they need to assist and guide them on their way to becoming thriving citizens of the community. Most of our teens come to Traceys Place of Hope with little or no hope at all, but when given the chance, they become strong and independent with the skills they need to live a full life with hope for the future.
Through its partnership with Koinonia Homes for Teens, the Biletnikoff Foundation has been able to expand the program and help even more teens turn their lives around from drug addiction, trafficking, and violence.
