About Southern Nevada Water Authority
The Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of representatives from each member agency. An Executive Team oversees the daily operations.
In 1991, seven local water and wastewater agencies formed the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) to address water issues on a regional basis, rather than an individual water purveyor basis. These member agencies,
Big Bend Water District, Boulder City, City of Henderson, City of Las Vegas, City of North Las Vegas, Clark County Water Reclamation District, Las Vegas Valley Water District.
Collectively, SNWA member agencies serve more than 2.2 million residents in Southern Nevada. As the wholesale water provider, SNWA is responsible for water treatment and delivery, as well as acquiring and managing long-term water resources for Southern Nevada.
