About Areperos Restaurant Group LLC (Makers & Finders)
We Are Makers, LLC
Makers & Finders is the outcome of one family’s American dream. The dream began on July 27, 1984, when Omar and Martha Molina became husband and wife & immigrated from Colombia (South America) in pursuit of a better life. They arrived in NYC where they had 3 children: Stephen, Josh & Omar Jr. Through grit and perseverance they navigated their new life and moved to Las Vegas in 1998 to kick off the second wave of their American dream.
Josh Molina graduated from the College of Liberal Arts at UNLV in 2010. Shortly after, he became inspired by his parent's determination and sought to create a food/beverage concept featuring dishes he’s loved for a lifetime & his biggest passion: Coffee. The aim was to create an approachable menu that was easy to navigate and featured some of Latin America’s most popular dishes (namely: Arepas & Empanadas).
During a late-night creative binge, he visualized traveling through the Van Wyck Expressway after picking up his father from a graveyard shift where he was a doorman for 15 years. After further exploring the name Van Wyck it led to the discovery of a series of mid-century articles named “Makers and Finders”. The articles spoke to his entrepreneurial spirit and kickstarted the road to M&F. Through hands-on grassroots efforts and family support, they opened Makers & Finders on December 5, 2014, in the Arts District of Las Vegas.
The space is a vibrant, upbeat restaurant-coffee-bar where specialty coffee, Latin food, & Culture are the program pillars. The setting is brightly lit with unique murals & positive affirmations throughout the living space that attracts a large fan base. The full-service experience transforms a coffee shop into a bustling café. Coffee can be handcrafted during dine-in or to-go, depending on the visit. All syrups are handmade by trained baristas making it the most unique specialty latte menu in Las Vegas.
On December 21, 2017, they opened a second location in Downtown Summerlin. On July 15, 2020, they created a new vertical and sister concept Take It Easy - a coffee roastery, Colombian bakery, and production house. On June 3, 2021, they expanded to AREA15. Their American dream is to be continued…
