"The Boo-A-Thon is a great company team-building activity that helps us raise needed funds in an entertaining way to support financial literacy, workforce readiness and entrepreneurial programs for more than 20,000 K-12 students," said Michelle Jackson, president and CEO of the nonprofit Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada. "This event has always generated a lot of laughs for employee teams and also family and friend groups, and has been successful for Junior Achievement."
Boo-A-Thon is a day of fun and festivities where participants can show off their bowling tricks and treats. Bowlers put together a five-person team and raise at least $100 per person from friends, family, neighbors, colleagues and acquaintances. Teams are encouraged to wear costumes for chances to win best team and individual costume prizes. Prizes also will be awarded for lane decoration, top individual bowler, and top individual and team fundraiser. Participants can purchase raffle tickets for more chances at winning prizes and bid on silent auction items.
Junior Achievement will provide all of the fundraising tools to help individuals and teammates reach and exceed donation goals. There is a $20 registration fee for all bowlers, which includes unlimited bowling for two hours, shoes, pizza, soda, and the chance to win fabulous prizes. Once a team has registered, participants can create their individual and team fundraising pages.
Current sponsors are: Nevada State Bank, KPMG, Ernst & Young, Martin Harris Construction and Bank of Nevada. Other sponsorship opportunities are also available, starting at $500.

10/27/2022 | S.A.F.E. House's first annual Halloween Carnival will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Sunset Station Hotel & Casino in their "Sunset Room" conference/banquet hall. Festivities begin at 6:00pm and end at 8:30pm. This is an all-ages event that includes food, games, and a costume contest. There will even be an ice cream bar! S.A.F.E. House is committed to stopping domestic violence and together, as a community, we can make that happen. Each year, we help more than 3,000 women, men, and children by providing safe shelter, food, clothing, counseling, advocacy, and education services. All of our services are free for victim-survivors and their children. Our work is made possible through the generosity of individuals and companies. Attending our Halloween Carnival is an excellent way to have fun with your family, while at the same time helping those most in need! We welcome you to join us in stopping the abuse by attending our first annual Halloween Carnival, which will help us raise funds for S.A.F.E.
