Touro University Nevada Appoints Dr. Robert M. Frampton as Dean of the College of Health & Human Services

Dr. Robert M. Frampton has been appointed as the next dean of the College of Health & Human Services of Touro University Nevada effective September 15, 2025.

Dr. Robert M. Frampton has been appointed as the next dean of the College of Health & Human Services of Touro University Nevada effective September 15, 2025.  He is a licensed physical therapist, an inspiring professor, a visionary architect of academic programs, and a transformational leader.

“We are pleased to have Dr. Frampton in this role that will assist the local community in the healthcare workforce shortage and also support health education within the Touro University system,” said Dr. Alan Kadish, President of Touro University. “His passion for student success and collaborative nature to advance educational experiences and opportunities will undoubtedly drive innovative strategies to expand academic programs, strengthen community partnerships, and empower the next generation of healthcare professionals in Nevada.”

Dr. Frampton joined Touro University Nevada in December 2024 as Director of the School of Physical Therapy and Professor. He previously served as Assistant Dean for the School of Health Professions and Founding Program Director for the Physical Therapy program at Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Prior to that he was chairperson, founding physical therapy program director, and faculty at the University of Mount Union. Since 2004, he has served the Federation of State Board of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) on several committees and task forces.

Dr. Frampton earned his Doctor of Healthcare Ethics (DHCE) from Duquesne University of the Holy Ghost in Pittsburgh. He holds a B.A. in Health Sciences and a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) degree from Duquesne University.
 
 
The university will immediately begin a search for a new Director of our Physical Therapy program. In the meantime, Dr. Gretchen Haase, Associate Professor and Director of Clinical Education for the School of Physical Therapy and has been named interim director of the PT program. She has been at Touro Nevada since 2012 during which time she has been dedicated to collaborating and building clinical partnerships, in addition to supporting students throughout their clinical education journey. She looks forward to continuing to support the School of Physical Therapy, engaging stakeholders, and looking toward the future with innovative educational practices and a commitment to student success.
