Southern Nevada's First-of-Its-Kind Integrated Acute Medical and Addiction Recovery Hospital Announces Opening

Las Vegas Recovery Hospital, an independent facility under Lion Health System, completes staffing and will open doors January 2026 with 25-member team

Las Vegas, NV -
Las Vegas Recovery Hospital, an independent acute care facility operated by Lion Health System, today announced it has completed staffing and will open its doors at the beginning of the new year. First of its kind in Southern Nevada, the 68-bed, 32,000-square-foot facility offers fully integrated acute medical care in an addiction-informed setting while bridging the critical gap between medical treatment and recovery support for patients facing both substance use disorders and serious medical conditions.

Lion Health System’s entry into the Las Vegas market came after the team identified a significant gap in care for patients with co-occurring medical conditions and substance use disorders. Rather than pursuing new construction, Lion Health System made the strategic decision to lease and repurpose existing infrastructure on the 3rd and 4th floors of a medical facility on the Rose de Lima campus in Henderson, enabling the organization to begin serving the community immediately without the unnecessary delays that typically accompany building new facilities.

Las Vegas Recovery Hospital is an independent facility that maintains its own leadership team, clinical staff, patient care protocols, and operations, entirely separate from and not affiliated with Dignity Health. The hospital has hired 25 staff members and, when at full capacity, will employ upwards of 200 employees. The multidisciplinary team includes addiction-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, social workers, and certified recovery specialists who will provide 24/7 medical care that integrates comprehensive addiction treatment with hospital-level medical services.

“We are thrilled to announce that Las Vegas Recovery Hospital is ready to begin serving our community,” said Stacey Zierath-Campa, CEO of Las Vegas Recovery Hospital. “As an independent facility, we’re excited to develop strong partnerships with local hospitals and healthcare groups throughout Southern Nevada. Our goal is to be a valued resource for emergency departments and healthcare providers who need a specialized option for patients requiring both medical stabilization and addiction recovery services. We look forward to collaborating with the healthcare community to ensure no patient falls through the cracks.”

In addition to supporting patients, Las Vegas Recovery Hospital will serve as a critical partner for local emergency departments, helping to improve quality metrics, reduce ER backlog and boarding, lower readmission rates, decrease repeat 911 utilization, prevent street discharges, and reduce patient decline due to lack of appropriate placement.

Las Vegas Recovery Hospital is a fully licensed acute care facility where patients receive complete addiction treatment—including detox when needed, psychiatric care, peer support from certified recovery specialists, and individualized recovery plans—while simultaneously receiving treatment for serious medical conditions like severe infections, organ failure, respiratory complications, and withdrawal symptoms. The facility provides the full continuum of both hospital-level medical care and recovery services in one integrated, stigma-free environment.
