Our StoryThe first time I heard of pickleball was in 2016. Some friends invited me to play, and I figured my ping-pong skills would translate to the short courts. My ping-pong habits actually carried over too well. I had to stop putting extra spin on the ball, but little adjustments like that and the game’s competitiveness hooked me. I also loved that people of all ages were just as addicted to pickleball as I was. But one experience, in particular, set me on the path leading to The Picklr. One winter, we went to a rec center, and I saw two teenagers playing pickleball with 50 people waiting to get on the court. My first thought was, “What cult did I join?” It was a weekday, but no one was at work or school. And the two teenagers were playing at a level I hadn’t seen yet. It was fast-paced and exciting. They were hitting overheads and drives I couldn’t believe. I realized then that the youth would eventually take over this sport. I considered my area’s packed rec center and the lack of indoor courts. And I felt inspired to create a facility for aspiring players of all ages. When I called my friend Austin Wood to tell him my idea, he didn’t even let me finish my sentence. He said, “Let’s do it. I’m in!” It was scary deciding to take a chance on myself. I could have used a million excuses not to start The Picklr—like having five kids, a mortgage, or even being in the middle of a pandemic. But my father was an immigrant and entrepreneur who strongly believed in working for yourself, and I always admired his resilience. I had faith we could pull it off with Austin by my side. In January 2021, we were lucky enough to sign our first lease. Somehow, we found a building space with an owner willing to lease a building for our wild pickleball idea he had never heard of. We opened our first location in Utah a few months later. more info... |

Quick Quack began in 2004 as an idea and a desire by a few business partners. The desire was to wake up every morning feeling that their efforts were changing lives for the better. The idea was to achieve that desire by way of an outstanding car wash product and an amazing work environment. From a single car wash in Sacramento, California, the business quickly grew to a handful of locations. Then, in 2008, the company doubled in size by acquiring a small chain of car washes in northwest Texas named Quick Quack Car Wash. Shortly following the acquisition, the Quick Quack name was adopted across all 13 locations. Headquartered in Roseville, California, Quick Quack now owns and operates more than 250 locations across Arizona, California, Colorado, Texas, and Utah, with continued growth throughout these regions. Quick Quack takes pride in having been awarded “The Best of…” or “The Favorite” car wash in every community where a Quick Quack can be found. Additionally, Quick Quack has been recognized as a leader in establishing an environmentally friendly and sustainable business. As the company continues to grow, the founding partners never lose sight of the Quick Quack mission to Change Lives for The Better. Through their Random Quacks of Kindness, community fundraisers and organization sponsorships, Quick Quack is honored to give back to the communities they serve. more info... |

2/27/2025 -3/1/2025 | THE PROBLEM:Are you a presenter, trainer, sales person or executive or who wants to captivate your audience and leave a lasting impression? Do you struggle to infuse humor into your stories, making them memorable and engaging? You are not alone. Most speakers love humor and wish they could get more laughs. Finding humor in stories is not a skill set most are born with. CONSIDER THIS:Imagine this: You’re on stage, delivering your speech. You’ve spent weeks preparing, and the content is stellar, but the audience’s faces remain stoic. They’re not laughing; they’re not engaged. Your message isn’t resonating, and your impact is lost. Humor is a powerful tool in a speaker’s arsenal, and it’s often the missing ingredient that separates the good from the unforgettable. Finding the right balance of humor in your storytelling can be challenging, especially if you’re not a natural comedian. But without it, your message may go in one ear and out the other, leaving your audience uninspired and unimpressed. Anyone can steal a joke from the internet and try and make it fit your story. Not only can that damage your reputation instantly, but it is like slapping a piece of duct tape on your story. Everyone can see it, and it feels awkward. So, how can you uncover organic humor hidden in your story? SOLUTION:Whether you are a keynote speaker competing to get booked more often, want humor in your demo reel, or competing in a speech competition, humor is a powerful differentiator. Introducing “The FUnny Story Workshop: Creating Stories that Stick,” a 3-day virtual workshop designed exclusively for speakers like you. What if you had your skills and could “think” like a comedian? Even better, what if you knew the secret process comedians follow? This is a process comedians do every day, but they don’t want you to know about it. It is their secret power. You’ll discover exactly what they look for and why. You’ll see gold in your stories that you never would have on your own. It’s right there if you know where to look! BENEFITS OF HUMOR & STORY FOR PRESENTERS?
WHY GREAT HUMOR & STORYTELLING LEVEL UP YOUR PRESENTATIONS
