The recently passed One Big Beautiful Bill Act (HR1) represents one of the most sweeping overhauls of federal healthcare policy in decades—with major implications for providers, patients, and employers alike.
At this timely HCC Networking Breakfast, Brian D. Kleven, Las Vegas Market Chief Financial Officer for Dignity Health – St. Rose Dominican Hospitals, will break down the key healthcare provisions within the legislation and what they mean for Southern Nevada’s business community.
From changes to Medicaid funding and eligibility, to insurance coverage shifts and the potential for increased employer costs, this candid discussion will help business owners, HR professionals, and community leaders understand:
- What HR1 OBBBA really changes in healthcare delivery and policy
- The financial and operational ripple effects on Nevada’s hospitals and providers
- How these shifts may impact employer-sponsored insurance and workforce health access
- What proactive steps businesses can take in response
Don't miss this opportunity to hear from a leading healthcare executive on how federal legislation is shaping local healthcare—and what it means for the future of your business and employees.

-- Junior Achievement statewide career exploration events for students aged 13-25 --
With 61 percent of Nevada’s jobs projected to require additional training beyond high school by 2031 – and nearly three-quarters of U.S. jobs demanding postsecondary credentials – businesses must prepare to have the necessary workforce. Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada provides a free solution with the return of JA Inspire. The in-person and virtual statewide career exploration program offers employers a vital opportunity to connect early with an expected 12,000 future talents, ages 13–25. By participating, local companies not only help students discover career pathways but also ensure a stronger, more skilled workforce that will meet next generation employment needs.
The next Las Vegas in-person expos will be 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5 and Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, and again on Wednesday, Feb. 4 and Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026, in Student Union Ballroom A, B and C at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). The companion virtual fair will be available online from Nov. 5, 2025 through Feb. 5, 2026, allowing extended student engagement and access to exhibitor and other career information.
JA Inspire targets students with a unique opportunity to explore high-demand careers and pathways, plan their route to achieve them, and engage directly with Nevada’s leading employers and industries. Prior to arrival, middle and high school participants will do a career assessment that will help guide their exploration of career clusters and education pathways. The experience is timed to help students align their high school course selections with future career interests.
Companies of all types are welcome, and it’s free to exhibit at both the in-person and virtual forums. Past industry participants covered public safety (police, fire, military), education and training, finance/banking, hospitality, technology, trade careers, apprentice opportunities and more.
Wells Fargo is the Event Sponsor; Reliaquest is the Catering Sponsor; and Delta is the Goody Bag Sponsor. Several other sponsorships are still available, including the Auditorium Sponsor for $10,000 and Transportation Sponsor for $8,000. There are increasing awareness and exposure opportunities with each level.
The local in-person fairs offer more than just career booths for an expected 4,000 students, who will attend career-readiness workshops, campus tours, and panels on college admissions, financial aid, and how to get hired. They’ll also engage directly with employers in the expo hall, making meaningful face-to-face connections with potential mentors, role models, and employers.
Virtual exhibitors receive a custom-branded booth and can provide downloadable PDFs, resources and industry-specific videos. They also have the opportunity to engage and inspire an additional 8,000 students across Nevada through a partnership with Junior Achievement of Northern Nevada to ensure access and reach for students statewide.
Businesses and organizations can register for JA Inspire now to sponsor or exhibit. For more information, contact Justin Minton at 702-209-1530 or justin.minton@ja.org.

To help share that information with the public, since the early 1990s, CBER has hosted Outlook, our annual economic forecasting breakfast, which brings together local and national expertise to discuss the year ahead.
