Pet Supply Drive at Findlay Volkswagen Henderson to Support the Vegas Pet Rescue Project During National Adopt a Shelter Dog MonthHenderson, NV, October 16th, 2023 – Findlay Volkswagen Henderson is thrilled to announce our Pet Supply Drive, an initiative aimed at supporting the Vegas Pet Rescue Project (VPRP). Starting immediately and continuing through to our monthly First Friday Volkswagen Car Meet event on November 3rd, 2023, we are collecting essential pet supplies to help provide for the rescued shelter animals with the VPRP.
Event Highlights:
- Adoptable Pets: Interact with pets that are in need of loving homes.
- Classic Volkswagens: Each month we host a Volkswagen Car Meet, where locals bring out their classic VWs.
- VW Pet-Themed Prizes: Participate in raffles to win Volkswagen Pet Driver Gear and Eric Arnold’s Dub Dog photobook.
- Dub Dogs, Eric Arnold: Photographer Eric Arnold will be on-site with his photobook, Dub Dogs, A Portrait Study of a Volkswagen Owner’s Best Friend. Grab an autographed book for yourself! With the holiday season just around the corner, these make GREAT gifts!
- Free food and beverage: Findlay VW will have free pizza and drinks for you to enjoy while you hang out.
- Check presentation: Join us in thanking the VPRP for all that they do as we present our monthly spay/neuter check to the organization.
- Well Behaved Pets Allowed: Bring your 4-legged family member to join in the fun!
Donation drop-off boxes will be located at our dealership, Findlay Volkswagen Henderson, 983 Auto Show Drive, Henderson, NV 89014. Wongu University of Oriental Medicine will host a Health and Wellness Expo on November 8, 2023, from 10 AM to 4.30 PM.We provide this event for our community to get more information and experience to restore, enhance, and maintain their health with many options that we have such as yoga, meditation, acupuncture, herbal medicine, aura reading, healthy food, et cetera.
We would love to invite you to have a vendor table to share information about your services and products.
Benefits of this event include:
* An opportunity for us to create stronger social connectivity, engagement, and relationships with our community.
* A chance to follow along in workshops to learn yoga, taichi, oxygen water therapy, and other activities designed to improve our health and wellness. Attendees will also have an opportunity to experience acupuncture or cupping or moxibustion (limited space, registration is required)
* An opportunity to promote your services and products.
* We will provide a table, 2 chairs, and lunch. Vendors just need to bring their own materials. The event will be in the Wongu University building 8620 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. From 10 AM to 4.30 PM. Set up will start at 9 AM.
* For vendors who want to set up a table, present their products and services at the conference, please register through https://docs.google.
Space is limited to 25 tables (Selling vendors will have to file their own sales tax return). First come first serve.
* We provide raffles of 3 free intern treatment coupons & 1 free sit in one of our classes in the university for 1 time (available for vendors and speakers only).

Please join Kamer Zucker Abbott for its next virtual Lunch with a Lawyer management workshop. During this interactive program, KZA partner Jody Florence will review the types of updates Nevada employers should consider for their handbooks and policies in light of recent decisions by the National Labor Relations Board in Stericycle and Cemex Construction Materials Pacific, as well as legislative changes to Nevada law.
The Lunch with a Lawyer management workshop will be offered via a Zoom meeting so that attendees can see and hear from each other. Jody will also facilitate a discussion amongst the meeting participants and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions.
This program is approved for 1.0 PDCs for the SHRM-CP® or SHRM-SCP® and 1.0 NVCLE General credits. An HR Certificate of Attendance will be provided upon request.

Every Christmas holiday season, Down Syndrome Organization of Southern Nevada (DSOSN) hosts its annual fundraising event, the Festival of Trees and Lights.
